Special Called Session
The ZOOM link has been emailed to the registered delegates. Please monitor your email. If you need help, please contact your District Superintendent.
Bishop Cynthia Fierro Harvey has called a special session of the Louisiana Annual Conference to be held on November 12th, online via ZOOM, beginning at 9am.
In a letter dated August 24th, Bishop Harvey says the special session will be called "for the sole purpose of voting on the Louisiana Conference Board of Trustees recommendations for the churches disaffiliating per paragraph 2553."
You can read the letter here.
How to Vote
Voting credentials are not necessary for this meeting.
Entrance to the ZOOM webinar is your ticket to vote. We will be using the ZOOM polling feature to cast votes. If you are in the ZOOM room, the poll (which will contain the ballot item) will pop up on your screen, and you'll be allowed to vote.
While we know some might be gathered together in one space to watch on one screen, remember - each delegate must have their own ZOOM webinar open to vote.
We will have an overview of the voting process in the beginning of the session.
Please Note: Only approved delegates are to be in the ZOOM webinar. You are receiving this email because our records reflect you are an approved delegate. Please do not share the ZOOM link. If someone wants to watch the special session, they can do so on our YouTube page, where the session will be live-streamed. You can learn more about the special called session on our website.
Brief Rundown, Start Time: 9am
- Gather

- Reading of the Resolution

As stated in the letter, the special conference session will consider only matters regarding voting on the Louisiana Conference Board of Trustees recommendations for the churches disaffiliating per paragraph 2553; no other business may be considered.
Delegates that were in place for the 2022 annual conference in June will be the delegates for the November session. If, because of charge alignment at that time, you did/did not have a delegate, the same holds true for the upcoming special session.
The special session will be a Zoom webinar. As a result, the bar of the conference will be the Zoom webinar only. The event will be live-streamed on our website, but to vote, you must be logged in to the Zoom webinar.
