Sacred Trust

This six-hour boundary training is mandatory for all persons assigned or under appointment in the Louisiana Conference of The United Methodist Church. 

This training adds to and complements the basic boundaries training offered in 2011, and subsequently, to all persons newly assigned or appointed. 

It is specifically designed as a Tier 2 level training within our Conference.
 

Boundary training focuses on developing healthy boundaries in ministry and is specific to the role of persons in ministerial leadership. 

Of particular concern is the power difference between a person in a ministerial role and a member of his or her congregation or a person being counseled. 

Boundary training also includes conversation about personal and professional health, and the use of social media. 
 

The Louisiana Conference remains committed to providing continuing education in the area of boundaries and sexual ethics to all persons assigned or under appointment. 

CEU credits will be available.

The trainings will be from 10 am - 4 pm on three different days in three different locations - you choose which training you would like to attend.

Registration is just $20 and early registration is open until October 1.
 

After October 1, the charge for registration will be $30 and the last day to register is Wednesday, October 17.
