2022 Clergy Retreat

"Working hard for something we don't care about is called stress. Working hard for something we love is called passion." Simon Sinek

Join us for this time to reconnect with one another, to renew our love for ministry, to refresh our minds and attitudes, to reflect on our why, and to reimagine ministry in Louisiana.

The goal of ReConnect is to offer a life-giving experience from which we can learn, develop, deepen, and grow.

We will have a rhythm of being together and apart, large group and small, information and formation, listening and speaking, as we ponder our ministries together — their joys, celebrations, and frustrations.

Join us as we discuss some of these questions, and more:

  • What parts of your ministry are life-giving?
  • How do you bring the best version of yourself to ministry?
  • What are those parts of ministry that suck the life out of you?
  • How do all these varying experiences inform your ministry and life?

We will also focus on our well-being—your well-being, your family, your colleagues, and all leaders in the Conference.

Together, we will walk this path and see where the journey leads, trusting God will take us where we need to go.

All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.
Martin Buber

Come be with us, and let’s listen for that destination or the next step on the journey.

Five Guiding Principles for ReConnect:

  1. Whoever shows up are the right people
  2. Whatever happens is what needs to happen
  3. Whenever it happens is the right time
  4. Be open to God, whose middle name is 'Surprise'!
  5. When it’s over, it’s over
