Pension & Retirement Savings Plans
Presently, all active appointed clergy of the Louisiana Annual Conference are eligible and automatically enrolled in one of two conference sponsored pension plans with the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits (GBOPHB).
- Quarter time (1/4) time appointed Clergy are enrolled in the Untied Methodist Personal Investment Plan (UMPIP).
- All other active appointed clergy are enrolled in the Clergy Retirement Security Plan (CRSP).
All clergy can also save money towards retirement by contributing money to UMPIP from their salary on either a pre or post tax basis.
