WILLIAM WARREN SARTOR -1972
A soldier, poet, and pulpiteer were a few of the words which could describe Rev. Warren W. Sartor, who began his ministry in the inner city church of Peoples Methodist Church. The work was new and required much cultivation, but the appointment of Rev. Sartor to this charge was well taken. Rev. Warren William Sartor entered the Louisiana Conference in 1932 and served churches on the New Orleans and Shreveport Districts. In 1941 he answered the call of his country and served as Chaplain in the U. S. Army. He was discharged with failing health from which he never actually recovered. Rev. Sartor received his basic education in the public and private schools of New Or-leans, completing his seminary training at Gammon Theological Seminary. Mourning his pass-ing is his widow, Mrs. Henrietta Clark Sartor, who now makes her home in Los Angeles, California. With the instrument of God’s word Rev. Sartor touched many and those he touched passed on the feeling of security to others. Because he passed this way many were helped, and may those be able to help someone else.
