Rev. Hurvey Sweazie, Jr.

Pastor Hurvey Sweazie, Jr., was born December 23, 1939 to the late Hurvey Sweazie, Sr. and Delia Louise Williams Sweazie. 

He accepted Christ as a young man. During his Christian journey, God saw favor in him and called him to preach the gospel. He labored in the Methodist faith for over 50 years until the Lord called him home. 

Pastor Hurvey married Margaret Evans Sweazie of Boyce, LA in 1998. The union created a combined family of five children.

His son, Michael Wayne Sweazie, six brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Margaret Sweazie; four children: Ronald Ray Sweazie (Debra), Hurvey Sweazie, III, Oscar Davis, Jr. & Christopher Davis, Sr. (Nuwanda); two sisters: Vivian Louise Grant & Violet Lee Sweazie; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
