June Eaton Lovell
September 14, 1941 – April 18, 2019
June Eaton Lovell was born on September 14, 1941 to Jessie Brannon Eaton and Charles L. Eaton in Tyronza, AR. She grew up in Honey Grove, TX and graduated from Honey Grove High School in 1960. She later moved and went to work in Dallas, eventually becoming first an oil and gas landman, and later, a church secretary.
In the summer of 1997, while working as a church secretary at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Slidell, Louisiana, she met her future husband, Rev. Clinton P. Lovell. With her encouragement, Clinton became a local pastor and later an Associate Member of the Louisiana Annual Conference. Always by his side, she was faithful to her roles as the pastor’s wife and evangelical minister of the Gospel. She proved herself time and again to be Clinton’s greatest ministry asset. Together they served the Pine Ridge/Tangipahoa charge, the Bethel charge in Pride, LA, and the Greenwood/Bethany Charge in the Shreveport District.
In the fall of 2009, as June’s health began to decline, Rev. Lovell took Honorable Location and they moved to a farm in Texas to be close to June’s family. As her medical needs increased, they eventually moved back to Greenwood, LA. On April 18, 2019, after nearly twelve years of fighting Alzheimer’s disease, June peacefully entered her Father’s Heavenly Kingdom.
Left to cherish her memory and to await their Great Reunion in Heaven are her husband, Rev. Clinton Lovell; her son, Brannon Henderson and his wife Holly; her stepson, Clinton Lovell, Jr. and his wife, Sandra; her stepson Albert Lovell and his wife, Amber; her stepson, Michael Lovell; her sister, Vicki Atherton and her husband, Al; her brother, James Eaton and his wife, Paige; seven grandchildren, Sarah, Kailey June, Natalie, Merriam, Noah, Harper and James; and two great-grandchildren.
