MRS. GRACE BIGGS YEAGER
August 16, 1888-January 24, 1968
The many friends of Mrs. Grace Biggs Yeager will be sorry to hear of her passing on January 24 following an illness of several months. She was the wife of the Rev. Ira L. Yeager, retired member of the Louisiana Annual Conference, who lives in Monroe, La.
She was born in Greenville, Texas August 16, 1888, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Biggs. At an early age she moved with her family to Caldwell Parish, La. She married Mr. Yeager in 1908. They were assigned to the pastorate of Stone Avenue Church, Monroe, in 1930 and served there until his retirement in 1957. Mrs. Yeager was a member of this church and served faithfully in its work until the time of her illness.
Se is survived by her husband, five daughters, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was a devoted mother and wife to her family and looked well after their interests. She served her Lord faithfully through the church. She was a woman of great Christian conviction, an inspiration to be around. She knew and lived the Bible.
Services were conducted January 25, 1968 by the Rev. N. D. Pearce, her pastor, and the Rev. W. D. Boddie, Monroe District Superintendent. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe.
