Davis, Moses



Rev. Moses Davis was born in South Carolina, January 7, 1806, and died Sept. 22, 1862, aged fifty-six years eight months and fifteen days. He came to Catahoula Parish when only four years old, where he lived and labored till removed to his rest in Heaven. He was licensed to preach August 14, 1841, and was subsequently ordained Deacon and Elder. Twenty-one years of his life he was a Minister of the Gospel, and a large portion of his time was spent in the itinerancy. He was a laborious and useful Minister, and his end was peace.
