A superannuated preacher of the Louisiana Conference departed this life July 11, 1893. He was converted when quite young, and soon began to preach the gospel. He joined this Conference 23 years ago, and did efficient work until a few years ago, when his health failed him, and he was granted a superannuated relation. This relation he worthily served until God called him. Bro. Yarborough was one of the old pioneer preachers. He stood for God and Methodist when it cost something to do it. But alas! He is not for God took him. His pastor, Rev. W. R. Butler, asked him how stood the case with him, when on his deathbed. He said: I shall soon be there,” and he fell asleep in Jesus. | |
