| Rev. D. G. Butler was born near Donaldsonville, La. July 17 1852. He was converted in 1870. He joined the ministry in ’85 and was appointed to St. John, where he served 3 years faithfully, then to Napoleonville where he served 4 years; he also served at Gretna, Pleasant Plains and Mt. Zion from whence he was transferred to Zion above. He leaves a wife and a host of friends to mourn his loss. | |
