|Harry W, McDonald, A. M. was born in Mansfield, La., 30 years ago and was brought up as the average country boy until about 13 years of age. He was taught in the common public school, until ready for a higher school, when he entered Glibert Academy under Dr. Godman, from there he entered the New Orleans University and remained until he graduated from the Classical Course with honors, in’98.
He was a natural born educator and to better fit himself for that task, he took a post-graduate course in Greek and Ancient Languages at the University of Chicago, under the late Dr. Harper.
