LEOLA HATCHER (Mrs. J.P.) HANEY
July 17, 1869 - 1911

Mrs. J. P. Haney was born July 17, 1869, and joined the M. E. Church, South, at Gilead church when but a child, and lived a beautiful Christian life until her death, and died in the ripe perfection of a living faith.
She was a devoted wife and mother, a great helpmeet to her husband in his work and the kindliest and best of mothers, and reared five bright and beautiful girls to noble young womanhood, admired by all who know them, for their excellent virtues and deep piety.
Noble and beautiful indeed was the life of Sister Haney, and no one but God can know how much she contributed to his kingdom as a faithful, pious mother and devoted wife and helpmeet, and cheerful party to the labors and sacrifices of a diligent itinerant preacher.
Truly her children will rise up and call her blessed.
