Mary Kay Iabell, wife of Rev. R. S. Isbell, died at Columbia, La., on Sunday, March 30, 1919, at 8:20 p. m. She was 79 years and 2 months old. A long and useful life was lived by this remarkable woman. She was educated In the State of Kentucky, and twenty-six years of her life was given to the education of the youth of the Southland. For twenty-three years she experienced the anxiety and hardships of an itinerant preacher’s wife but ever loved and was loyal to the itinerancy. She was a faithful and deeply consecrated member of the Methodist Church. Her chief joy in life was her devotion to her Lord. She was a sufferer from rheumatism for a number of years, but patiently bore her sickness until she “fell asleep in- Jesus.”
She was laid to rest in the cemetery at Columbia, La. The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. T. J, Warlick who paid a beautiful tribute to her sterling work.
