T.P. TURNER
- January 27, 1939

Rev. T. P. Turner passed to his eternal reward January 27, 1939, from his home in Bell Gardens, California. The writer was not intimately acquainted with Brother Turner, with whom, he exchanged in transfer; Brother Turner coming to the Louisiana Conference and the writer going to the Pacific Conference in July, 1932. Therefore, we have no available information regarding Brother Turner’s exact age and other facts concerning his life; however, his record of thirty-seven years of active ministry speaks sufficiently of his life of service in the Church.
Brother Turner was admitted on trial in the East Texas Con-ference in 1898 and was admitted into full connection and ordained Deacon in the North Texas Conference in 1900. He was ordained Elder in 1903.
He served in the pastorate for thirty years, Presiding Elder six years, and Conference
Evangelist one year, from 1898 to. 1984 in the following conferences: East Texas, New Mexico; Pacific, and last in the Louisiana until his superannuation November 20, 1935, completing thirty-seven years of service. “Well done, good and faith-ful servant, rest from thy labors.”
