|Rev. A. B. Venable departed this life Monday, August 04, 1941, at the home of his adopted daughter in Shreveport, La. His funeral was attended at the St. James Methodist Church of which he was a member. Rev. Venable was a member of the Louisiana Annual Conference, rendering service for Christ for 45 years. He was at the time of his death on the retired list, hav-ing received his retired relations thirteen years ago. He then served as a supply pastor for four years.
He served the following charges: Columbia, Cane City, Boyce and Rapides, Bonehest, Bodeaue and Asbury, James Chapel, Mt. Nebo, St. Peters, Mason and Summer, Macedonia, Musson and Shiloh, Eola and Sundlove, Boyce and Village, Grand Bayou, Bayou LaChute, Longstreet.
