Hutchinson, Emerson


1855 - 1945
Emerson Hutchinson was born at Holly Springs, Mississippi in the year 1855. He attended the public schools of Shreveport Louisiana and Straight University of New Orleans. He entered the ministry in 1885 from the Fairfield Methodist Episcopal Church.
He was married to Miss Sallle Wright in 1879. To this union were born five children, three boys and two girls. After many years of service he was retired in 1931, after having served the following charges: Scott, Bossier City, La., Shady Grove Circuit, Booneville, Mansfield and Shady Grove Ct., Mansfield, Fairfield Ct., Fairfield, Bastrop and Washington, Macedonia, Houma, Napoleonville, Bunkie and Evergreen, Boyce and Village, St. Martinville, Opelousas. New Orleans: Mallalieu, Morgan City, Pineville, Rosedale Ct., Donaldsonville. He passed to his reward in 1945, in Chicago, Illinois.
He is survived by two children, Mr. Arthur Hutchlnson and Mrs. Maude Vance of Chicago, also a brother, James who resides in Shreveport, Louisiana.
