SIMON E. HARRIS - August 14, 1969
Reverend Simon E. Harris was born in the city of New Orleans, a son and grandson of Methodist preachers. He was married and had two children. He joined the Conference in 1963. A short span of life for such an eventful. On August 14, 1969, his life was taken and yet is hands were not completely closed for there are those who remember his love for those who were down-hearted and in need of a friend.
