JOSEPH E. BROWN January 9, 1885 - February 13, 1970
Joseph E. Brown was born in Mansfield, Louisiana on January 9, 1885 and was a member of the Shady Grove Methodist Church. He married Ella V. Bennett and they lived together devoted to each other. He began his Christian ministry on November 21, 1924 serving as pastor, district superintendent and officer of the Conference. He retired from the active ministry in 1956, but remained active in church work. On February 13, 1970 the summons from on high called him home. He brought a full account of his work.
