Although in the retired relationship, Fletcher W. Thomas worked as a supply for many years and on Sunday, August 29, 1971, he went to his heavenly home, to that building not made with hands; transformed from his earthly house. Fletcher William Thomas, born May 6, 1890, the son of the late William F. Thomas and Mrs. Elizabeth Thomas. Received his call to preach at the age of 35 and served many churches in Central and North Louisiana. A lasting memorial stands at Mr. Sinai Church, Sterlington, Louisiana. He retired from the active ministry in 1962 and served for seven years as a supply at Asbury Church, New Orleans District. He is survived by one niece and three nephews. May his soul rest in peace and his spirit remain ever with his Heavenly Father. |
