Mrs. Thessalonia C. Clark was born in Lyons, La. Her parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Mack Mitchell. As a very young woman she met and married the late Reverend Hezekiah L. Clark, Sr., November 18 1936 To this union was born four children: Hezekiah, Jr.—9-13-37; Thessalonia—4-10-39; Victor H.—1-29-42; and Marnette L.—8-29-45. She worked side by side with Rev. Clark in the several appointments. Mrs. Clark leaves to mourn her passing four stepchildren; Ralph Clark, Mrs. Rebecca Williams, Mrs. Victoria Davis and Mrs. Audrey Borden, one brother, Mr. Wilfred Bailey, sisters-in-law Mrs. Elmer Bailey and Mrs. Theresa Williams. two daughters-in-law; Mesdames Carolie and Lucille Clark; four grandchildren; Audrey, Martine, Marvett Clark and Chantell Walker, her four children, a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She leaves for her children a beautiful heritage of the Christian way of life, values and ideals that can be kept alive in their hearts. Christianity does not exempt one from death, it only inspires triumph over death. So again death has invaded the Clark family and carried away one who enjoyed her life by serving others. |
