ELNORA ZILTON (Mrs. James A.) WILLIAMS 1889 - 1978
Mrs. Elnora Zilton Williams was born January 28, 1889 to the late Joseph and Catherine Zilton in Gray, Louisiana, and passed from this life February 23, 1978 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Alexandria, Louisiana. She was converted and joined Mt. Vernon Methodist Church at an early age. On November 27, 1910 she married the late Rev. James A. Williams and served with him the ministry over forty years in the Louisiana Conference. In 1956 she joined Wesley United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge and served there until her health failed. Funeral services were held on Monday, February 27, 1978 at Newman United Methodist Church of Alexandria. The interment was in the Garden of Memory, also in Alexandria. Mrs. Williams will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Survivors include one foster daughter, Mrs. Leola H. Kane and family of Alexandria, Louisiana and a host of relatives and friends.
