| Rev. Willie T. Henderson was born April 7, 1911, and died December 9, 1978 in the Charity Hospital of Louisiana at New Orleans, following a brief illness and surgery. His survivors include his widow, Florence, and three children from a previous marriage. Though Brother Henderson’s ministry in our Conference was short, it was most effective. He served with loyalty, zeal and dedication. At the time of his death he was serving the Walmsley-Mason Charge at Morgan City and Berwick. Prior to being assigned there, he served the Wesley-Mt. Vernon Charge at Houma and Gray, La. Funeral services for Brother Henderson were held at the Walmsley United Methodist Church in Morgan City on December 13, 1978, with the Reverend T. E. McElroy officiating. |
