Green, Magdlene "Maggie" (Mrs. Charles)

March 12, 1895 - March 4, 1980
Mrs. Magdlene (Maggie) Green, wife of the late Rev. Charles H. Green, slipped away to be with her husband March 4, 1980. Funeral service was held at Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Boyce, Louisiana, March 8,1980, by her pastor Reverend George M. Alfred.
Mrs. Green was born March 12, 1895, in Lecompte, Louisiana, and is survived by one sister Mrs. Julia Hardison of Alexandria, Louisiana. Although Mrs. Green held her membership in Union Chapel Church she was equally as faithful to Macedonia United Methodist Church. Since services for these two churches are held on different Sundays Mrs. Green was always present at each of them and gave generously to their support.
Her faith was strong and she was an inspiration to the entire community as she waited patiently for the Lord to call her home, never complaining in spite of constant pain.
She was more than a helpmate to her husband — she was a pillar of strength. We can only say to saints like this, “Til we meet again.”
