Edwards, Lillian Monette (Mrs. A.D.)
11/19/1985
Mrs. Lillian M. Edwards was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Monette. She was born in Franklin, and grew up in Asbury United Methodist, in which she rendered services in music, worship, U.M.W. president and any other area where service was needed. She gave 44 years of her life as a teacher, along with service in the churches whenever her husband, Rev. A. D. Edwards, who preceded her in death, was called to pastor. She made friends wherever she went and was loved by all who knew her. We can truly say of her: “Servant of God well done.” The leaves in autumn fall when the fruit is ripened and their work is done and their color is but the graceful and beautiful surrender of life when they have finished their summer offering of service. Mrs. Lillian Edwards was called from labor to reward November 19, 1985 at her home. Dr. Moses T. Jackson did the eulogy. |
