|Mary Grace Lowrey Spinks married the Reverend Thurman Spinks in 1937. She followed him wherever the church sent him to minister. She was able sometimes to teach and other times she devoted her entire time to the church.
She was born in St. Franksville, Louisiana in the year 1908. Her parents were the later Professor B. N. Lowrey and Vickie Middleton Lowrey. Mary Grace was raised in a very active Methodist family and had three uncles that were Methodist ministers. She was a graduate of Haughton High School, a graduate Cum Laude from Centenary College in 1929 and was retired from the Bossier Parish School Board. She was an inspiration to her family and to all who knew her.
