9/25/1987
Born in Avoyelles Parish September 6, 1903, Luella Hayes spent most of her time in the city of New Orleans where Rev. Hayes pastored. Sister Hayes departed this transitory life on September 25, 1987. She was funeralized from the Hartzell United Methodist Church in New Orleans. Rev. Robert Brown officiated. Sister Hayes was known for her outstanding work in evangelism. She was often seen knocking on doors in search of the unchurched. Her efforts bore fruit at Laharpe, Thompson and many other places in the Conference.
