A bouquet of flowers is very beautiful and as it fades away, we have the memories to cherish. Mrs. Gertrude Pauchie Francis was born December 12. 1936, in Lake Charles. Louisiana. She departed this life on July 19, 1994, in Jeanerette where her husband, the Rev. Eddie Francis was serving as minister of St Peter and Godman Chapel in Baldwin.
Gertrude grew up in the Church of God, where she remained an active member until her marriage to Rev. Francis. She joined the United Methodist Church and remained active until her death.
She loved music and shared her talents as a soloist and choir member at the charges they served. She had a special love for children and also tried to help them.
She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, Rev. Eddie Francis, one daughter, Mrs. Brenda Orphey of Lake Charles, two step daughters. Mrs. Nadine Brown and Mrs. Cynthia Darkin of Jennings; one adopted son, Craig Allen Francis of Jennings. three grandchildren of Lake Charles; four step-grandchildren of Jennings and a host of friends and relatives. Her parents preceded her in death.
