Promised Land
“Death is just another step along life’s changing way, no more than just a gateway to a new and better day and parting from our loved ones is much easier to bear. When we know that they are waiting for it is on the wings of death that the living Soul takes flight into the Promised Land of God where there shall be no night”

Daisy accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. J. J. Usan at St. Landry United Methodist Church in Gonzales, Louisiana. Her favorite song was “Where He Leads Me I Will Follow.” Later, Daisy traveled with her husband Rev. Albert Holland to Wesley and Woodlawn United Methodist Churches in Napoleonville, Louisiana where she served dutifully as a choir member for many years until her health failed.
I, personally, could recall the moments that Daisy and I shared together because she has been a great inspiration to me in the ministry. She was one who listens very attentively and was eager to give assistance in time of need. Daisy also possessed her love for Christ in her home by caring for children and the elderly.
Finally, I could not give a better description about Daisy without mentioning everyone in the community remembered her kindness and love.
