Jones, Eugenia Valentine (Mrs. Kenneth R.)

3/26/1999

Jan. 27, 1937-March 26, 1999

Genie has always been one of God’s special children. Born to Ana and Homer Valentine, she grew up in a loving Christian home and enjoyed all the good experiences of the small North Louisiana community of Oak Ridge.
She was blessed musically and expressed her talents in church, college, home, and community as an accomplished pianist and gifted high soprano.
Genie is a graduated of All Saints Episcopal School in Vicksburg, Mississippi and Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana. She used her teaching talent to guide elementary children to love education and live with Christian ethics. She taught for twenty-three years and was greatly loved by all her students.
Her greatest pride was her children, in whom she invested heart, mind, and soul. All three are outstanding adult professionals with loving home ties.
Somehow in all her work, she always found time to be a perfect and loving wife. Perhaps her deep devotion to Christ made her the extraordinary person we all have known and shall forever cherish.
Gene is survived by:
