| Alice Joyce Wagner Guyre was born on June 6, 1939 in Rayne, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Arnold and Alice Wagner. Alice married the late Rev. John Wesley Guyre on De-cember 12, 1959, at the age of 21 years. It was a marriage that produced four children: Alice Ann, John Wesley, III, Judy Marie, and Brian Keith. In 1972, her late husband, John, was in-spired by the Holy Spirit and answered the call into the Ministry. Alice supported her husband in every way. Alice was a beloved grandmother of ten grandchildren: Jacque, Alicia, Ciji, Chance, Ci-cely, Jacob, Hanna, Courtney, John, and Keith. Alice passed away on Friday, February 12, 1999, in Opelousas, Louisiana. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, February 13, 1999, at the Indian Bayou United Methodist Church with the Reverends Lloyd Scott and Bill Youngblood officiating. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a kind, loving, and generous person. Do you believe I’ll leave you: Always I’ll be in your heart.
