Ameal D. Ennis was born on December 6, 1916 in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana. He pastored 29 years. Rev. Ennis was married to Lettie Williamston for 61 years and they are the proud parents of three children: Lillian Robinson; Tharis Lewis and Emile Ennis, Sr. Emile is pastor of the Headland Heights United Methodist Church in East Point, Georgia. Lillian is a teacher and counselor and Tharis is a teacher. Ameal loved to sing. Over the years he played both harmonica and a guitar together. This was his hobby. People used to enjoy his unique musical style of religious, soul and country western. After his call to preach, Rev. Ennis spent most of his time studying, reading and taking care of people. His warm smile lifted the spirit of everybody he met. He met no strangers; he saw everybody as friends. He was a member of the Louisiana Annual Conference. He received a B.S. Degree in Business Management and did further study at Gulfside and S.M.U. in Dallas, Texas.
