Meda was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Francis Charleville and Francis Barth. She grew up in Istrouma United Methodist Church where she was very active. As a nurse, Meda supported Bob while he completed college in Shreveport and attended seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. During the years of Bob’s active ministry Meda was supportive of his ministry and as a homemaker provided the love and care needed in raising four children. When her husband no longer served as pastor they moved back to her husband’s home place in East Feliciana Parish. Having a special ability to work with the elderly, Meda served for many years as a nurse in the Pine Acres Nursing Home located in East Feliciana Parish and at Lane Memorial Hospital in Zachary.
Meda was very active in the Order of Eastern Star and was a member of the Eunice Chapter in Zachary. She was one who never called attention to herself but quietly went about doing good and making her witness for the Lord.
