Hardy, Ruby Trent (Mrs. O'Neal)
1/1/2002
Born and raised on a farm in St. Landry Parish, Ruby Hardy spent her childhood with many family and friends. The early years were spent in the Waxia community. Living in a rural community brought many opportunities for young Ruby to enjoy while lending a helping hand to others. In the early 1900’s, she met and married the Reverend O’Neal Hardy. Together they built their home in the rural community of Bolden, Louisiana. Since Ruby and O’Neal did not have any children of their own, she spent many days and nights care-taking for her many relatives and friends. Ruby was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she served as Sunday School Teacher and Communion Steward. Ruby T. Hardy served her church diligently, devoting her time, effort and support as a teacher helping to enrich many lives. It was always inspirational to hear her ever-present laughter. Ruby Hardy was the type of person whose company everyone enjoyed. The Hardy Trent Family (Robert) |
