May, Donna Lee Cromlish (Mrs. Thomas)
4/20/2004
Donna May – daughter, sister, wife, mother, teacher, grandmother, and servant of the Lord – succumbed to her long, brave battle with cancer on April 20, 2004. Married for 42 years to Thomas May, a U.S. Forest Service retiree, local pastor, and avid fisherman, Donna was always a faithful and supportive wife. Together, they raised daughters Carrie and Amy and adored their four grandsons – Ben, Mitchell, Beau, and Nathan. For 28 years of her life, Donna was more than a teacher – she was an educator who touched lives forever. A faithful servant of the Lord, Donna was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Winnfield and Couley United Methodist Church and she was involved in the Kairos prison ministry. Donna served others and they all knew she was a Christian by her love. She enjoyed traveling, football games, gardening, corresponding with her family and friends, and the little pleasures that life brought her. The Christian example of love, joy, faithfulness and service that Donna set will be forever cherished by the many lives she touched. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23 |
