8/24/2009

Apr. 15, 1930 - Aug. 24, 2008

Martha Law Moreland entered life's journey on April 15, 1930 in Mansfield , Louisiana . She completed the journey on August 24, 2008 in Kenosha , Wisconsin . She shared most of that journey with her husband, Rev. Byrl J. Moreland, Jr. Byrl and Martha met as students at Centenary College . They were both members of the Choir. Martha majored in Math Education and received her BS degree from that institution. She was a secondary Math and Art teacher for many years.

Martha had an infectious laugh and you always knew she was in the room. She loved the Lord and she loved serving in His church. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, Vacation Bible School and was active in the United Methodist Women. She was exceeded in her story telling ability only by Byrl and it was a joy to be around both of them.

Byrl and Martha raised two sons, Richard J. Moreland of Wild Rose, Louisiana and Robert B. Moreland, Ph.D. of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin . Martha loved to tell “Ricky” and “Bob” stories to anyone who would sit and listen.
