Chaplain Howard D. Ellzey, Sr., 78, of Laurel, Mississippi died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Ellzey was a retired chaplain with the U. S. Army, served during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Grand Lodge AFM of South Carolina and a member of West Laurel United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willa Mobley Ellzey, and son, Howard E. Ellzey, Jr.
Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Michlink of Laurel and three grandchildren, Joshua Charles Walters, Sarah Walters Brady, and Hannah Marie Michlink.
