Volunteers In Mission is a grassroots movement within The United Methodist Church designed to provide an official channel whereby Christians, both lay, and clergy, may offer their skills and talents for Christian service at home and around the world on short-term assignments at their own expense.
VIM Team Leader Training is offered by the Louisiana Conference to assist churches and their team leaders for mission teams and mission trips across the United States and overseas.
Important training materials will include information such as which documents are needed prior to the mission trip; documents such as medical and liability releases, budget planning and documents needed for overseas trips.
The training will also unpack what STEP is and why is it so critical for overseas trips.
You will also learn about cultural trends, which is important both in the United States and abroad.
The five hours will be packed with information.
Your fee will help cover the costs of a notebook with all materials, lunch and a background check.
