More on the Special Called Session

September 05, 2022

Bishop Cynthia Fierro Harvey is calling a special session of the Louisiana Annual Conference to be held on November 12th, online via ZOOM.

In a letter dated August 24th, Bishop Harvey says the special session will be called "for the sole purpose of voting on the Louisiana Conference Board of Trustees recommendations for the  churches disaffiliating per paragraph 2553." You can read the letter here

As stated in the letter, the special conference session will consider only matters regarding voting on the Louisiana Conference Board of Trustees recommendations for the churches disaffiliating per paragraph 2553; no other business may be considered.

Delegates that were in place for the 2022 annual conference in June will be the delegates for the November session. If, because of charge alignment at that time, you did/did not have a delegate, the same holds true for the upcoming special session.

The special session will be a Zoom webinar. As a result, the bar of the conference will be the Zoom webinar only. The event will be live-streamed on our website, but to vote, you must be logged in to the Zoom webinar.

There will be a registration for the special session. Please be on the lookout for that via Louisiana NOW. There is no registration fee for this session.
