Office of Treasurer

In June, Bishop Cynthia Fierro Harvey announced the appointment of Rev. Jan Curwick as the New Orleans District Superintendent.


This appointment created a vacancy in the position of Conference Treasurer and Executive Director of Finance and Administrative Services. 
 

Mr. Kenny Beauvais, Chair of the Council on Finance and Administration of the Annual Conference (CFA), is pleased to announce the plan of transition for this important office.


Sandy O’Brien, Comptroller, has been elected by CFA to fill the Conference Treasurer and Executive Director of Administrative Services position.


Over the past three years, O’Brien has been the Comptroller for the Conference office, working closely with Curwick in the Finance and Administration Ministry Area. 
 

O’Brien is a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge and is excited about the opportunity to serve the Conference and live her faith in an enhanced capacity.


The transition of duties and responsibilities from Curwick to O’Brien will occur over the next three months.
