The Design Team for the United Methodist Church of the Louisiana Annual Conference is seeking a design to brand Annual Conference 2018.
Each year clergy and lay leaders from every United Methodist Church in Louisiana gather to reflect on the health of the church, connect with leaders from around the state, learn and worship together, and make decisions for the future of the church over the course of 3 days. This year, we return to Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana to listen for ways God has been and is continuing to move through the UMC.
Our hope is a brand that connects all promotional materials, worship experiences, and visuals for Annual Conference. The design will be used in multiple mediums as a branding stamp on videos, printed on the title page of our pre-conference report, used in email communication and other platforms.
The design request for Annual Conference branding is actually for the next three years with the overarching theme being: "Making Disciples, Transforming the World", with a sub-brand for each of the next three years:
We see this unfolding similar to the way a local church brands its mission/vision pathway. For an example, please go here.
All three of these circles complement each other and also reinforce the word it represents (worship, grow, share).

Our preference is to have a look that is sharp, clean and modern with less of an emphasis on traditional church.
Our theme last year was "Bold Imagination" and the winning design captured the modern flair quite well.
This design will be incorporated into videos, handouts, flyers, web site design, etc. To do that, we will need the following, but not limited to, formats:
Our worship screens will be simple; mostly white perhaps, with the three icons in lower third.
