Getting Ready

May 25, 2018
Hurricane season doesn't start until June 1 but that hasn't stopped the tropics from actively threatening our area.
A tropical system off the Yucatan Peninsula has become Subtropical Storm Alberto as of 11 a.m. Friday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Rev. Laraine Waughtal, Director of the Louisiana Conference’s Office of Mission Engagement and Outreach is actively monitoring the storm and has already had conference calls with pastors in Louisiana, as well as UMCOR.
Please continue to monitor this website for more information as we stand ready to help our neighbors in Louisiana or to our east.
We have two documents to share with you.
First, download this family checklist.
Secondly, see below: a Red Cross Ready bulletin that can easily be printed and shared with your congregation.
