FEMA continues to work with federal, state and local partners as well as non-governmental agencies to support the needs of areas affected by Ida.
FEMA has positioned supplies such as meals, water, and generators to assist states with impacts from this storm. More than 3,600 FEMA employees are deployed to various states and are ready to provide additional support as needed.
Life-threatening storm surge, hurricane-force winds and heavy rains are expected across multiple states. Areas far from the storm's center can also experience severe flooding, heavy rainfall and strong winds. If you did not evacuate, find a safe location to ride out the storm. Continue to monitor local news for updates and directions provided by local officials.
Disaster survivors can find translated information about disaster assistance programs, emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities, and flood insurance.
