Asbury UMC Supply Depot Closes, Donation Collection Moves to Lake Charles

October 23, 2020
The Disaster Response Ministry of the Louisiana Conference wants to thank Asbury UMC in Lafayette for serving as our Supply Depot for hurricanes Laura and Delta.

Their staff and volunteers have worked nonstop to make sure your donations reached individuals and families in the path of those hurricanes.

Thousands of families received food, water, tarps, baby food and diapers, toiletries, and cleaning supplies thanks to their tireless work and the use of their facilities.

Because the demand for supplies has dropped and donations have slowed substantially, we are closing the Supply Depot at Asbury.

However, we are working on other arrangements to store and distribute needed supplies.

Non-Perishable Food Supplies Needed

Manna Ministries, a ministry of St. Luke Simpson in Lake Charles, is operating out of a warehouse in Lake Charles to assemble non-perishable food bags for distribution to churches in the path of hurricanes Laura and Delta.

Your donations of non-perishable food items are needed to help feed the families impacted by these storms.

Please contact Don Ash at 337-377-8038 to arrange a time to drop-off your donations.

Please do not bring supplies to St. Luke-Simpson UMC.
