Perkins Ministers Week 2016 is Feb. 1-2 on SMU campus

Perkins Ministers Week 2016, to be held at Perkins School of Theology on the SMU campus in Dallas, is slated Feb. 1-2. The event, focusing on the theme “Reach Deep,” is a series of lectures, workshops and worship for clergy and church leaders.
Rev. Dr. Walter Brueggemann, William Marcellus McPheeters Professor Emeritus of Old Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary, will serve as keynote speaker for Ministers Week. Bishop Janice Riggle Huie, Episcopal leader for the Texas Annual Conference, will be the preacher for this exciting event. Rev. Dr. Loida I. Martell-Otero, Professor of Constructive Theology at Palmer Theological Seminary/Eastern University, will be the Ministers Week Barton Lecturer.
Workshops will focus on church administration, youth ministry, worship design, immigration, stress relief, cultural agility and General Conference 2016.
