Raymond UMC, Jennings holds live nativity

December 14, 2015
A cast of 25 youth and children from Raymond United Methodist Church in Jennings performed a live nativity for the community on Dec. 12. The event featured the children singing Christmas carols, followed by a gumbo supper.
Several days earlier, the youth group also performed for the residents of the community’s Camelot Brookside nursing facility.
“The church is very excited that we have been chosen to receive a conference-sponsored Fresh Expressions grant. The funds will seed our elementary-aged kids' club, which will be held on Wednesdays at the same time our youth group meets,” said Rev. Laura Nusbaum, pastor.
