Louisiana Conference endows three scholarships for Africa University students

October 26, 2015
Africa University in Zimbabwe recently announced that three students are the recipients of the Louisiana Annual Conference Endowed Scholarships for the 2015-2016 academic year.
The students are Hellias Mufuta Malandji (second year), Rumbidzai Sithole (fourth year) and Louise Ekoto Onadelo (first year).
According to a recent ranking done by Webometrics, Africa University is fourth on the list of the 12 Best Zimbabwean Universities. Today, Zimbabwe is leading Africa in adult education with a literacy rate of about 90 percent.
Currently, the Louisiana Annual Conference is completing its second year of a five-year campaign to raise $1 million for Africa University. Because of the faithfulness and generosity of the conference, young men and women are being given the precious gift of quality university education. Through gifts to the campaign, the conference can continue to show its support for the future of Africa University and the worth of its mission.
Although our campaign is not completed, the funds raised so far are already benefiting AU students and the mission of providing a place for learning in a Christian environment. The investment in the lives of these young people will continue to bring promise and hope to the people of Africa.
