North Cross UMC helps with cleanup of historic cemetery in Madisonville

North Cross United Methodist Church recently partnered with the community initiative "Keep Madisonville Beautiful." The project involved helping with the cleanup of an historic cemetery in Madisonville. 


 
Church members of all ages enjoyed learning about the history and stories of those who are buried there. Some of the plots date back to the late 1700's. “We feel strongly that part of the church’s responsibility is to be good stewards of the Earth. I can't think of a better way to help than to maintain the resting ground of those who laid the foundation of the community we love,” said Rev. Chris Fryou, pastor of North Cross UMC.
