- Dr. Ashley Boggan
LaToya Redd Thompson practices law and is the Mississippi Conference Lay Leader and President of the AACLL.
Micheal Pope is the CEO of ASEB (Alzheimer's Services East Bay) and California-Nevada Conference Lay Leader and Vice-President of the AACLL.
Dr. Ashley Boggan is the General Secretary of the General Commission on Archives and History. In this role she ensures that the UMC understands its past in order to envision a more equitable future for all Methodists. Dr. Boggan earned her PhD from Drew Theological School's Graduate Division of Religion, specializing in both Methodist/Wesley Studies and Women's/Gender Studies.
Dr. Boggan is the co-author of American Methodism: Revised and Updated Edition (Abingdon Press, 2022). She is also the author of Entangled: A History of American Methodism, Politics, and Sexuality (New Room Books, 2018) and Nevertheless: American Methodists and Women's Rights (Wesley's Foundery Books, 2020).
