Wallace given President's Award by NAACP, Houma chapter

Betty Wallace, long-time member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Houma, was given the President’s Award during a June 20 banquet held by the Houma chapter of the NAACP. The chapter is one of the largest in the state of Louisiana.
“I have always believed that she was a tremendous giver and server of God. Very few times have I been in the presence of a person who is so humble and goes well beyond all that she does in His service,” said Rev. Terry Lindsey, pastor of Wesley UMC. “I truly feel blessed to know her and to witness God’s will working in her life.”
